Mike Dowdy, Pastor

 

Pastor Dowdy has held the position as pastor of Emmanuel on three separate occasions over a 40 year span of time.  He has currently been at Emmanuel for over ten years now.  He has also been pastor at Bethlehem Free Will Baptist Church, and assisted at Bennett's Chapel, and the Raccoon Free Will Baptist Church.  Pastor Dowdy has served on the Board of Directors of Camp Caleb Christian Camp and Conference Center including a term as board president.  You will find him preaching in the worship services on Sundays as well as teaching the adult Sunday School class on Sunday mornings. He holds a bachelor and master's degrees from Morehead State University as well as a Ph.D. from Ohio University. He and his wife Judy reside in the South Shore, Kentucky area. They have three adult daughters and eight grandchildren.
